Hello,

I have an Asus RP-AC68U repeater.
It's connected to a gigabit network connection.
My provider internet speed max is 120 Mbps.

I tried several possibility in the parameters (wireless mode, channel bandwidth, control channel,...)
In 5ghz, i found (i think) the correct parameters combination as I can reach 125 Mbps.
In 2.4ghz, I tried all combination (20, 40 or 20/40; all the channels) but I can't go further than 50Mbps.

I'm an absolute newbie in network, so I can't understand all.
But as I read, with the data rate of my repeater (802.11n or 802.11ac), It's possible to have better speed than 50Mbps.

When I do my tests, I'm in front of the repeater, 2 meters aways; no wall, no separation.

Could someone help me ?

Thanks in advance

Chrisbati

Only with 5ghz will you possibly reach within the overhead limits to get at or close to the 125mbps, depending on various factors. In 2.4ghz you can only reach a max of 54mbps burst with Wireless-G. I keep my 2.4 and 5ghz SSID’s different and connect those devices that are 5ghz capable to that band.
