Seems snappier and I noticed the Mesh binding issue but got around that by selecting use any router on the Canon Printer I have.

Updated the RT-AC66U B1 router I support remotely, but it lost the custom device icons after the reboot. Not a big deal, but I thought this issue was fixed at some point.

but wasn't this discontinued?
Hardware was, but there are still a lot of people using this particular router so an update has been issued. It's officially out of support but I am glad of new firmware.

First of all big thanks are due to Asus!
Please note that for this firmware (51729), to verify the SHA-256 checksum published by Asus, one should compute the checksum of the ZIP file. For previous firmwares, the SHA-256 checksum published by Asus was the checksum of the firmware itself (the .TRX file), after extracting it from the ZIP file.

The RT-AC68U family is still not set and forget, luckily :D
Given the little jump in release number I suppose some more little things are fixed besides what is mentioned in the release notes.
Performed dirty / online upgrades for both the RT-AC68U Router and RT-AC1900U Media Bridge, so far so good.
I can't remember when both units have been reset to factory defaults for a fresh setup, it is a few firmware versions ago.

In the hope that the little problems are fixed I have disabled scheduled reboot and scheduled wifi see how long I can get.

Updated my RT-AC68U. All fine. This 10yo beast is still running strong using Movistar Triple VLAN profile.

@Tech9 Are you absolutely sure the Custom Devices Icon functionality is broken again as I got them to fix it in the previous November 26th 386_51722 firmware?

Edit: I've just done a dirty upgrade to the 386_51729 firmware & can confirm that my Custom Icons are still present after a manual reboot, it's strange that it is no longer possible on your AC66U B1 as it shares the exact same firmware.

Anyone tried to export a list of devices from the Network page, view, and have English set as language. The clientlist.csv is in Chinese. Can anyone confirm?

The custom icons disappeared after update and reboot. I can't do any troubleshooting since the router is not mine and I only manage it remotely. No way to reset and reconfigure, it's in use. Not a critical issue because it serves under 20 clients and also will be replaced soon.
