ASUS RT-AC68U - PCE-AC68 performance

Im using the ASUS RT-AC68U and have ASUS PCE-AC68 in my Win8.1 PC.
The PCE Software shows that im connected with 1300Mbps. That should be more than with a 1Gbit NIC. But when i copy a File i get only around an avg of 20Mb/sec over ac (peaks vary between 12 and 28), with cable i get around 50Mb/sec.
Tested with same file(1.5GB)
Is there a way to get a better throughput?

I'm getting 40 megabytes a sec with same setup... Is the other computer ethernet into router?

Windows usually shows I have a 500-700mbps (currently 526mbps) and I can achieve 60-70 MB/s (500-600mbps) at a distance of 45ft. The only thing I can suggest is try relocating your antenna and try different orientations of the three antennas. It did not have a drastic effect, but I found it best to have the antenna about 20deg down from vertical straight out from the corners. I also used the Asus utility to monitor signal strength while manipulating the orientation. Hope this helps.

I now installed the external antenna that came with the PCI card. The Tool show 1300Mpbs but i still get only about 15-20MB/sec avg.
The other computer is a NAS, however with cable i get 50MB/Sec. to the NAS.
The Router and the NAS are in the other room just one wall away from my PC.
The Tool on the PC shows 5 Lines of Signal strength and -30dbm (on channel 36)

Try changing the channel, the antenna orientation and the height of the router (higher is better).

There is something else in your environment that is interfering with your wireless signal.
