I was writing an all good report on my Android tablet after doing an upgrade with the app. Then the wifi dropped! Will investigate and hopefully find what happened. May have been the SmartConnect switching bands...

don't know about the login problem but experienced the cpu bug and the UI bugs. here's hoping this firmware fares mush better than the last.

Hanging fire on this one as the last f/w was pulled for unknown reasons. Waiting to hear more feedback (hopefully with the majority being positive)

In theory, this download should be checked with an MD5 code published by Asus, yes?

OE

It's appearing on the android app but not on the Asus site, so it seems legit. The MD5 check, does this check the authenticity and integrity of the file?

"As an Internet standard (RFC 1321), MD5 has been used in a wide variety of security applications, and is also commonly used to check the integrity of file, and verify download." https://www.winmd5.com/

It's a way to ensure you have the file Asus intended you to have. In this instance, it would verify the download.

My point is that referrals ought to be complete in the spirit of safe computing... in theory.

Feedback on AiProtection on Wifi Performance? Did they fix upload/download meter bug?

Yes, QoS disable is working now.

QoS WAN/LAN Bandwidth Monitor? It works right only with Traditional QoS, Runner & Flow Cache disabled.

I was referring to the UP/DOWN UI..see image

Does this version retain fixed channels with Smart Connect?

Yep!

I notice that AiProtection now collects (collapses/expands) like entries under their offending URL. So, more user friendly.
