RT-AC68U
firmware:3.0.0.4.384_45149
After the installation of the restored factory settings. No icon to access the downloadmaster, not always can be applied to change the name of the client.

I'm also getting these crashes. I have a single 86U with QoS and Firewall disabled, and I also did a factory reset. I am also not using AiMesh... just regular home setup.

...I also see a constant "Assoc" and "Disassoc" messages with a MAC address appended to each within the system Log every 5-10 min. Not sure if there's a relation.

These messages appear to be documenting when devices join or leave the wireless networks. ASUS didn't seem to be logging this information in previous firmwares. Maybe it was accidental for this firmware.

Buy the RT-AC86u 5 days ago and when turning on the router, IPv6 works correctly for a few minutes, then it does not work.?
When IPv6 works the routing table shows the default route (WAN IPv6 Gateway), when IPv6 stops working the line with the default route (WAN IPv6 Gateway) disappears.

All this happens in official firmware. versions: 3.0.0.4.384.45149, 3.0.0.4.384.32799, I do not know if in previous versions it happens.
Also try the latest version of Asus merlin and the same thing happens.

(Excuse my language, my native language is Spanish)

My internet connection is VDSL2 50mbps down / 10mbps up.
My configuration is as follows: ISP -> Modem Huawei HG659 (In bridge mode) -> Asus RT-AC86U.
My ISP is DualStack (IPv4/IPv6), IPv6 Connection Type: Native with DHCP-PD

Is it normal to have these 3 lines in the System Log every time you start or stop AIProtection?

Dec 9 17:38:03 modprobe: module ip6t_REJECT not found in modules.dep
Dec 9 17:38:03 modprobe: module ip6t_ROUTE not found in modules.dep
Dec 9 17:38:03 modprobe: module ip6t_LOG not found in modules.dep

I do use IPv6 and it appears to be working properly. All clients get 19/20 on ipv6-test.com.

I use IPv6, I do not use aiprotection, but I've seen those lines in the log

ASUS RT-AC86U firmware version 3.0.0.4.384.45149

I uploaded this firmware manually to my node and then to my router. No resets. This firmware appears to resolve my issue first reported here.

My Win10 Intel Tri-Band Wireless-AC 18265 adapter link rate at the node still drops briefly once or twice per speed test from 866 to 780 before recovering to 866. During many repeated tests, I saw link rate 650 once and 390 once. I never see this link rate fluctuation at the router. All speed tests passed at about 115/11 (nominal is 100/10); the ping is a little longer at the node.

OE

This firmware is becoming the worst yet! Tonight lost client reservation list. Internet says not connected and when hit refresh on the map it says 0 or 2.

hmm....today my android app says that AIProtection is disabled ???
Strange, becouse i always turn on AIProtection.

For RT-AC86U and GT-AC5300. Try to turn off the AiProtection.

Since over 1 year they try to get the FW on an acceptable level without success. This is the worstest one. Even my SIP account is offline from time to time. Router reset every two days

agree.....many gui bugs like no scroll bar for clients on Adaptive Qos/Bandwidth monitor, client list is very not stable, not show all clients etc, AIProtection ocasionally stop working etc

Could you send feedback with system log, wifi log by Administration-> Feedback?
After many tests the problem of loss of IPv6 is if some of the devices that are connected to the network have an empty or not allowed hostname, in my case I have a samsung TV UN65JS8500 that has as hostname "localhost" and a tv sony KDL -55W800A that sometimes had an empty hostname
