This has nothing to do with Asus, and everything to do with law and regulations. People were using CFE customization to change their router's regions, which is illegal in many places.

Tim didn't make policy decisions based on Asus's wishes. The fact that his reviews of Asus products are often quite critical should be a clear sign that Asus isn't running this site - Tim is.

I am also looking for the CFE dumps. I have an AC3100 that does not show the 2.4GHz macaddr and coincidently the 2.4GHz band does not work at all.

Well you won't find them as they no longer exist .

Don't mess with the CFE. You will never solve any issue with it, and it carries a very high risk of permanently killing your router.

If it doesn't show the MAC then it means the radio is dead.
