Asus RT-AC87U FW 378.55_0: Changing mac = fail + IEEE 802.11h support enable = fail

Hi

I can't change the WAN-MAC-Address:
After applying the Gui shows the new mac, but it isn't changed on the WAN interface.

I can't enable IEEE 802.11h support for 5G-WLAN:
After appllying, the Gui shows "disabled"
I can't find any log entries.

For the MAC cloning to work I suspect you need to restart your router, power cycle it to be safe.

I restarted the router but it doesn't change the MAC-Address.

I found this on the Asus web page (Beta Japan only firmware):

How can I temporary fix this problem on my RT-AC87U and FW 378.55? Can I setup MAC address for WAN by shell scripts in JFFS?
P.S. On Asus firmware 3.0.0.4.378.7410 MAC clone working fine.

They removed the ability to change it. I assume it automatically gets enabled in regions that are DFS-enabled if they did the same thing they are doing with Broadcom-based radios.

Simplest is probably to revert back to 378.54 for now if your ISP requires MAC cloning.
