1. WAN status don't report stat "checking forever"
2.
CPU and RAM increased usage when enable "AI Protection" and Traffic Analyzer
3.Huge problem when downloading torrents the IPTV that its not on the router (on switch) lag and freeze funny part
the problem is same with Merlin latest firm.
20 torrents active using utorrent 2.2.1 Max global connections 500 000, peers per torrent 150, for test i'm using public tracker, udp is turned off in utorrent

After downgrade to 3.0.0.4.380.7743 cpu1 usage running 20 torrents is 70% temp 75 C, cpu2-1-2%. The issue is reported to Asus. ISP connection 50/25, i can imagine what will happend when soon i have upgrade with 2nd ISP - 100/100 in dual WAN - the router will be unusable.

I'm so disappointed from rt-ac88u, so far, hope they will fix this.
Did you factory reset and manually set up the router

Yes I do factory reset, and set up manually the router, with both merlin and asus stock newest firmware result is same awful. If you don't believe me or anyone in this forum please run 20 torretns with as many seeders you can find or even more turn on in utorrent PeX,DHT and LPD, and set up 3 and 4 ports for iptrv profile and see the result.
Just this kind of router IMHO can't handle heavy torrent traffic and funny part my connection is only 50/25 Mbps. Sooo i will have 150/125 and will buy another router (already chosen).
Greetings!

Hi! Do you try with new firm, to download many files, with as much open concurrent connections, do you tested custom IPTV profile setting, because i tested both and the result is iptv lagging, freezing sometimes, i have tested with torrents, download from ftp servers free, and http download all same,
and IPTV profile custom settings is broken with vlans even with last firmware.
For normal using http browsing new firmware is ok.

Do you test the new firm under heavy load?
Well I've used it with multiple kodi streams but I haven't tried multiple torrents as I don't use it that way. I also have a VOIP phone and security cameras on the network. If the condition reappears I will report back on the use case that was present when it happened.

I just wish Asus would fix the sys log it's hard to find anything that may be amis when its spammed with junk constantly.

Yes the syslog is being updated with a lot of entries. Too bad we don't have the ability to select the level of information contained in it like Merlin offers.

When Merlin releases something based on the new 15850/52 code i will jump on it.

also why did you set ports 3 and 4 as iptv, test it with that changed to off. my 88u should be able to handle it all fine, the spikes looks like the router hasn't been rebooted in a while so give it a full reboot power off for 30 mins, then test it again.

I don't think the torrents alone are the issue. My 68U on 380.68_0 can handle multiple torrents with hundreds of connections and I get combined download speeds up to 800+ Mbps. It might have something to do with iptv which I have no way of testing.

Me, too

7743 no problem

My status page was sluggish too until I completely powered down the unit and let it allowed it to deenergize itself over a period of several minutes. Once I brought it back up the menu's responded normally and still continue to respond normally. You might also check your browser settings ensuring that they're set to refresh with each visit to the page.

Yes mate.

I setup my IPTV throw switch and only internet throw rt-ac88u, but result is same with new firmware.
Will power off for 30 min, as you suggested, but unlikely will have result, thank you btw :)

Cheers!

Well I unfortunately have to throw in the towel for the 382 release at this time. It almost seems that hardware acceleration disabled with some protocols such as torrent or VPN applications. Sometimes the web UI is responsive and snappy and other days it will not load across multiple browsers. There are a lot of aesthetic errors in the UI such as the check connection dialogue never updating regardless of connection status. Hopefully ASUS will release a new patch sometimes soon to address all these issues but until then it is definitely back to 3.0.0.4.380.7743 for me.

i had an wifi extneder with a corrpted gui off for a week it worked perfect after. My ip tv works fine with masve steam downloads going, i have a crappy 100/40 vdsl2 connection equates to 95/37 on speedtest.

What i notice also with 3.0.0.4.382.15850: When I download torrents, the gui seems to be unresponsiveve, also
when I download torrents speed drastically drops from 5.8-5.9 MBps (my actual speed from the isp) = 47.2 Mbps to half - 2.5-2.8 MBps more or lees and iptv glitch the time of the download.

I've had to enable the reboot scheduler set for every day so that the gui will behave normally. If I try to run it for longer than that without a reboot the status page is difficult to refresh and doesn't want to display anything other than the 5ghz radio information. Once this happens IPv6 also stops working and so far rebooting every day seems to work.

Strange i am not seeing that issue. Are you using Chrome or do you think its a router bug with the new code ?

Try Chrome never have issues.
I use Chrome and I have nothing but issues with the 382 release. Tried IE, Edge and Firefox and same results. I am pretty sure these are firmware issues, not to do with our operating environments. The fact that IPV6 becomes unresponsive during the slowdown events should identify an issue. Also rolling back to previous 380 release has shown better performance and throughout across the board.

Its not the browser causing it so changing to another browser is irrelevant. I'm just conveying router behavior at the time the gui begins to act up which is not associated with what browser I'm using to access it with.
