Up front: I am new here.
I have a fiber connection here (500Mbps)
my Samsung tablet has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac 2.4G+5GHz, VHT80 MIMO
Right now I already own an older Asus router - that doesn't support ac.
Though the Netgear is listed above, frankly speaking, I have some preference for an Asus router.
Have spent a -lot- of time on reading reviews and in the end most reviewers seem to be enthusiastic about either router.
Also read, some parts of the reviews here, they are quite technical, actually a bit too technical, I have to confess. At least I read the 'closing thoughts' at the end of the reviews on SNB.
Where the Netgear would prevail over the Asus AC3200.
Where I got a bit of mixed feelings on the closing thoughts on the AC88U.
Set aside the price, just from a technical point of view, which one would I buy?
I would be using the 5GHz only.
I tend to the 88 but am not sure, simple as that.
Thanks
