ASUS RT-N66U Firmware Version 3.0.0.4.374.979.
I ran a simple nmap TCP all ports scan of my IP address (nmap -p 1-65535 -T4 -A -v ***.***.***.*** ) from my VPS host.
After approx. 15 minutes of running the scan the router locked up.
That was with "Enable DoS protection" feature turned off.
I've timed out today, i.e. no time to repeat the test after enabling DoS protection, but I have a question for all RT-N66U users:
Do you have "Enable DoS protection" set to on, or did you leave it set to off (which appears to be the default setting)? (hint: It's on the General tab, in the Firewall settings section)
