My Asus GT-AX6000 recently advertised an update available, which is 3.0.0.6.102_34791.

Looks like Merlin is only up to 3.0.0.4.xxx for the Asus GT-AX6000 per the project website: https://www.asuswrt-merlin.net/

RT-AX88U_PRO3004.388.7
RT-BE96U3006.102.1-beta 1
GT-BE98_PRO3006.102.1-beta 1

Is there a plan for 3.0.0.6 support (noted 3.0.0.6 is in beta for the RT-BE96U and GT-BE98_PRO)? Looks like my GT-AX6000 isn't going out of style with class leading 2.4 and 5ghz on older AC and AX according to recent benchmarks from DongKnows which makes upgrading to a WiFi 7 router in fact a downgrade unless you have WiFi 7 clients across the board.

Also, it looks like manually flashing has gotten more complex, I only see an upload option under AI-Mesh (weird). Can anyone provide any context on 3006 support and flashing procedure for it? I presume there's no support for utilizing the 3006 build outside of the WiFi 7 routers at this time?

RMerlin addresses this question in the the very first post to start the following thread:
Do not ask about support for other models. 3006.102.1 will only support these two models (plus the GT-BE98 by Gnuton), and we will re-evaluate things after that realease is finalized on any other potential device to support. These must be picked in collaboration with Asus as GPL code and device samples (in the case of new devices) are necessary for each individual model.
PS: Additional RMerlin commentary:
Just to reiterate: don't ask for any ETA on availability, or for support for other models. 3006.102.1 will only support these three models, and we will re-evaluate things after that realease is finalized on any other potential device to support. These must be picked in collaboration with Asus as GPL code and device samples (in the case of new devices) are necessary for each individual model.

You certainly can "upgrade" to 3.0.0.6 by changing to the standard ASUS release for the GT-AX6000, it does have a lot of fixes, but it sounds like ASUS haven't released the source code for a Merlin version yet...
On the "up" side as there is a 3.0.0.6 version for the GT-AX6000 there's a good chance a Merlin version will be along at some point...

(I didn't quite get the "flashing" stuff, presumably you can just download the firmware from ASUS and send it to the router locally? It'll probably need resetting and re-configuring afterwards, so saving the config settings, e.g. by screen grabs, could be good.)
