Asus ZenWiFi BT10 Firmware

New Firmware today. Wasn't listed on support page yet. ZenWiFi_BT10 : 3.0.0.6.102_36808-g0393d96_1036-g1e6e7_BB0B.

Haven't seen notes on it yet. Also, is it worth it using the AI Protection from Trend Micro? I have questions about privacy, but i am more concerned about it causing unforeseen problems in day to day use. I am being real careful with changes on this router. Have done 2 factory resets so far and have just gotten the Router Monday. Now it seems very stable and speeds are fantastic.

Never have had problems because of AiProtect. Have used it for years in several Asus routers. It has caught and blocked attempted hacks to my NVR.

Many folks are using it, works reliably enough for the use case. If something gets blocked by error you can always take a look at AiProtection page, enable/disable, try again, etc. It's made inobtrusive and works in the background. Since it's a 3rd party service it requires data sharing agreement to Trend Micro. Asus Auto firmware update requires similar data sharing agreement to Asus. This is how it works, it's a normal practice and doesn't have big impact on your privacy. Your computers and mobile devices collect much more user sensitive data.

Asuswrt firmware features like AiProtection, Traffic Analyzer, Apps Analyzer, Adaptive QoS, Game Boost and Web History use Trend Micro engine and require data sharing agreement to Trend Micro. If you withdraw the agreement none of the above will be available.
