About SNMP, where i can set the interface ??? I have this error
376.47 only has the Asus proprietary MIBs enabled. Wait for 376.48, which has a whole bunch of additional modules enabled.
About SNMP, where i can set the interface ??? I have this error
sorry guys, i know this has been discussed over and over..just can't figure it out
wired download speeds from my nas caps at max 25 MB/s..no idea why..
bought new HDD that pushes 130MB/s when conected directly to my laptop..
i remembered it briefly went to 50MB/s when i initially tested (LAN) but since then..it's been slower
also ..i'm getting no faster than 15MB/s over wifi (5Ghz connection)..
something to do with USB 3 recognized as usb 2?
any other suggestions? wisdom?
thanks so much..(becomin a bit obsessed with this )
OK, thanks, could you recommend any 2,5" USB3.0 enclosure, which definitely supports spindown?

Are you downloading from a NAS or from a USB disk plugged to your router? That's two different things.
Merlin, I am a noob with the Asus product line - having just purchased and installed an RT-N16, specifically for installing your firmware (I am currently running 376.47).
I am using The Dude as a network monitor, but I note that there is no SNMP support (which I ideally need) in the current firmware for 376.47 on the N16. Any plans to add it - or do I need to separately install via Optware?
Thanks,
Woody.
Sorry..youre right..usb plugged in..
And i have read your previous posts about this.."if you want something stable..then get a real NAS"..
But in your test you did reach 50mb/s over lan..
So is there anywhere i can check if usb 3 is stepped down to 2.0...or anything else i can try?
Thanks a million

Make sure that USB 3.0 interference is disabled on the Wirless -> Advanced page, and that your disk does use a properly shielded USB 3.0 cable.
feeling "technologically challenged" but can't find the "advanced settings" in "wireless" (using the latest stable merlin build)
pls help
thanks

RMerlin; sorry to ask, as it probably been asked many times, but what are the major highlights of v376.47 compared to v374.43 (your own or the recent fork)?
I always thought of v374.43 as very stable, but don't want to lose out on any good update benefits. The FW v376.47 has been ok for me, but not as rock solid as the old one...
I mean more of the "official" changes with the latest version... or are there no such thing as official changes?
Sorry, I mean are there any big changes to the latest that couldn't be in the fork?
