1. Did it work with previous versions?

2.There seems to be a problem with that MAC, the OUI database can't find a valid record for it either:

http://standards.ieee.org/cgi-bin/ouisearch?22-E3-1F

Double check your MAC. Those first three digits represent the device manufacturer, and should be registered with OUI. I just tried entering the MAC of one of my devices on the Mac filter, and the webui accepted it.

1. I don't know if Guest MAC Filtering worked with older versions, I only tried it on 155.

2. Very strange... I was using this MAC in the MAC Filter of my old Netgear router and it worked fine. My printer has both LAN and WLAN interfaces, and I just noticed that with MAC Filter disabled and the printer connected (wirelessly), Asus reports the connection MAC as the printer's LAN MAC.
So, I entered LAN MAC into RT-N66U MAC Filter and it seems to work fine. Thanks!

I re-enabled Dual WAN support again (it was broken in 144). Please test this out, and give me feedback on whether this works at least as well as the regular more limited failover support.

Dual WAN Support is only for 3G dongle?

WAN + LAN as Dual isnt supported, correct?

Dual Wan (as opposed to the regular 3G/4G failover support) allows you to also use one of the four LAN ports to plug another ethernet-based WAN (like another router, for example).

RMerlin,

First off, thanks for an awesome work you are doing with your custom firmware!

Just flashed your build RM12 beta over RM10. So far seems to be working great. Samba speeds improved a bit.
However, I notice a drop in RSSI strengh of about 8dBm compared to your RM10 build (before 36-37, now 44-45). Do you also notice a weaker signal? What would be a reason for that?

No signal drop here (in fact, I was surprised by my 5 GHz signal strength earlier as I was checking it).

Keep in mind that signal strength can fluctuate a bit over time, depending on which channel you (and your neighbours) are using, AiRadar, etc... Just rebooting your router can yield different results. I don't think the driver has changed in months.

Hi Merlin!

Just installed R12 and it's working like a charm! Except this:

These are getting spammed in my log like it did while I was on Asus' .151 build:

Am I right to say it is the PPTP VPN server that is causing this? I have no VPN clients connected but the server is enabled.

If I remember correctly, these are caused by enabling broadcast support on the VPN server. Try disabling that.

Ah that fixed it! Thank you! :)

Merlin,

Just upgraded from asus 3.112 to 3.144.RM11 beta 1...

I'm having one issue....

When I click on 'Network Map', this shows me as having 8 clients.

Then i click on 'Clients', but the 'Client Status' list on the right side of the screen always comes up empty despite having 8 clients.

I have to click on the 'Refresh' button numerous time for the 'Client Status' information to fill in.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
MM

Might just need to be patient - it could be taking some time for the network scan to complete I suspect.

Sold my RT-N16 and just received my new RT-N66U in the post, updated to latest RMerlin release, setup and it's flying along.

Great work en the new release.

Would it be possible to integrate the hidden Main_AdmStatus_Content.asp page into the normal GUI for easier access?

Does the new release have a fix for Comcast IPV6?

Doubt it, last I heard, Comcast were still working with Asus on this issue (but apparently they were making some progress). Give it a shot just in case, Asus did change quite a few things related to IPv6 in this codebase.

Probably a good idea, yes.

Hi Merlin,

Found a bug with R12.

I have 2 computers listed in my WOL Targets list.

I connected via VPN to my router this morning to wake my system up to VNC.
Shut it down about 10 minutes later after retrieving my file, and disconnected VPN.

And now just as I logged in to the RT-N66U to change my DNS servers, I clicked on the Tools page and my first listed system started up! The WOL packet was sent without me clicking on the "Wake" link!

Not sure if it helps but I'm on Google Chrome 20.0.1132.57 (Mac OS X)

RMerlin,
I've been using R12 all day today, my first upgrade from the stock firmware.

Just wanted to say thanks for your effort maintaining and releasing these updates.

I'm thinking of having a go a building a firmware from source as I need to try and apply the 1500 byte MTU patch to rp-pppoe.

Odd. Sounds as if something was still in your cache, and when you accessed the page a second time it also resent the WOL argument in its HTTP request, causing it to send the WOL packet again. I'll take another look just to make sure there's nothing wrong with the web code itself.

EDIT: I can confirm the issue. Accessing that page will always re-execute the last WOL call. I will need to change the way it works.
