I would like to connect an AX11000 pro to a 10g port on a switch I plan to buy. I need to go about 75 - 100 feet between devices using an existing Cat7 cable that's installed inside a wall. Is 10g port on the Asus capable of this distance using Cat7?

Hi RudeBoy. CAT7 is rated at 10Gbs up to 100 meters or about 328 ft. I tried something similar with my AX11000Pro and no problem achieving close to 10Gbs allowing for overhead. I was using CAT6a cable. Hope this helps. Good Luck

Hi Con. Thank you so much for your input. This was my first time setting up a 10G connection so I was not familiar with the options in cabling in this scenario. I was concerned because I quickly read online that some 10G connections only reach about 10m. Those are DAC connections ratings so I wasn't sure if that applied to the AX11000Pro. Obviously now i see it does not. Incidentally, when I called Asus 2 days ago, they could not answer the question. I'm still waiting for an email response LOL.

Everything worked out. Thanks again.
