@Col8eral If you read through this thread you'll see that the RAM usage you're seeing is perfectly normal and by design. So that in itself is not a problem and not what you should be focusing on. It might be best to start a new thread as your problem is not really the same as the subject of this thread.

Did you factory reset after flashing? I know, daft question.
Right now in your situation I'd be tempted to bite the bullet, re-flash the same firmware, factory reset with the WPS button and set up from scratch. But that's me.
I agree with @ColinTaylor, probably time for a dedicated thread.
