Do you have AiCloud/ Cloud Sync enabled?
Yes I have AiCloud and Cloud sync enabled. I use the AiCloud, but I have disabled Cloud Sync for now, to see how it goes.

My post was assuming you configured client 1. Your previous log seem to indicate you are using client 5... Change all the commands I gave to replace client1 with client5.
Thanks! Client5 works but no go both with 2 or 3... still have the problem.

Logs attached
Sorry, stupid question, where do you see its "client5"??

Thanks a lot for your time anyway!

Fax, is this on a router or AP/Bridge?

I ask because I only see this on my AP although both ac87s are part of the same network, hard-wired to each other, which would seem to eliminate a problem with iTunes or other Bonjour-using app on the LAN.

Maybe it's just about in how AP mode is configured (partially loading a service it shouldn't?)?

My iPad Air 2 stayed on 5Ghz for 7hrs overnight while on charge. Looks like it (probably unsurprisingly) is a problem specific to a low power state. It's clearly not right though, because I cannot believe that reestablishing itself on the network every 3 mins could possibly save battery life!

Nope, on a router.

Yes it will stay connected that is not a problem when the iDevice is on charge. Because once you plug it in to charge, iCloud sync and some other processes begin which of course require Network Connectivity, that's why it stays connected this way. But when it's not charging it kinda tries to save battery and goes to sleep, then you see Tx drops down to like 7 Mbps and then the iPad Air 2 disconnects. Same same here. It's iOS9 on iPad Air 2. Because my iPhone 6 is also on iOS9 and it's rock solid on 5Ghz, never disconnects.

Yep, figured. And, yes, I see exactly the same.

I have wondered what if it's an Apple bug, but there are no reports on their forums so I'm inclined to think it's another Quantenna snafu!

Nope, on a router.
How odd. I won't pretend to understand why it's just my AP. I've rebooted it of course and it just keeps on throwing errors, although it doesn't *seem* to be causing any problems. Both AP and router can see all the same devices.

Well, then why it didn't disconnect on iOS8.x.x at all? Now on iOS9 it does disconnect even on the old official firmwares, even on Merlin's firmware 378_55 where it was rock solid on iOS8.x.x Read here yesterday. And it's only iPad Air 2.

Yeah, clearly it's a change to the way the IPad Air 2 works with IOS9. What I mean is it doesn't seem to be affecting all routers/APs, or I think there would be more reports on Apple's own forums, or at least somewhere. The change appears to be affecting Quantenna uniquely, which should not be any great surprise as their wonderful chipset appears to need to be configured individually for EVERY device (and, now, OS version!)

It looks like the parental control is not working on this firmware. Can you confirm ?

What exactly is not working? I have configured it fine, but admit I haven't checked all features work as advertised!
