Hi friends!

I have an issue when I use smart connect. For me Smart Connect chooses control channel 6, in the 2.4Ghz band, even if it is very crowded in there.

As you might know the wifi system settings gets in to auto mode when smart connect is enabled. I would like to choose another control channel on my AC3200.

Is it possible to "hard code" this somewhere in any config file or do I have to disable smart connect t fix it?

Best Regards

Michael

Maybe somebody knows how to resolve mentioned issue ? .

My ea-ac87 can not connect to 5ghz-2 radio when Channel is above 100+.
I must restart ea 87, then connection is established but only until next automatic Channel switching

Ok after creating an account I found out a new feature to have it choose a new bandwidth. First, on your router see If you have wifi-radar click that it should appear on the left side. After going to wifi-radar go to channel statistics and click that. you should have a new tab open and then on the top tabs go to configure it should be next to troubleshooting. Then start a data collection after that wait some time.
Note: The longer you wait for; the more data it can collect in choosing your channel bandwidth. After that, you can even changer the setting around to find the best time for the router to automatically choose the best bandwidth. I showed another image to show how my router chose the new bandwidth. For that to see click the channel statistics and browse to see the bandwidth your router chose. Do not like it try another data collection

Edit: Look at the pictures below to help for a reference and follow along and also my router is the Asus gaming router ac5300 but should not make a difference
Edit:
Realized that honestly do not turn off data collection it automatically changes while it does a data scan keep it on at all times
