Confusion about RP-AC1900 firmware update (3.0.0.4.386_51733)?

New Around Here
I’m seeing a firmware update (version 3.0.0.4.386_51733) for the RP-AC1900 in the ASUS Router iPhone app, but when I check the official ASUS support page (https://www.asus.com/networking-iot.../rp-ac1900/helpdesk_bios?model2Name=RP-AC1900), the latest available firmware is still listed as 3.0.0.4.386_51685.

When I search specifically for 3.0.0.4.386_51733, it seems to correspond to the RT-AC68U router instead.

Does anyone know what’s going on here? Is it safe to update, or should I hold off until this clears up?

I am fairly positive both models are the same machine. Just marketing. If you look at the supported list of routers for Merlin, as an example, his software for the AC68U includes the AC1900.

RP-AC1900 is a Repeater. RT-AC1900 is a Router. Two totally different devices, with different firmwares.

That`s why FULL model name is important. AC68 and AC1900 do not exists.

Crap, I did not catch the RP part. My bad. Thanks @RMerlin for catching that.
