Connection from router to web server

David G

New Around Here
I've noticed a connection from my RT-AC66U to a web server I host.

It appears to just be doing a 'GET /' on the web server.

The requests appear to be happening a little bit after the top of the hour.

This is a sample of the log entries I've seen ...

Anyone know what might be causing it?

david

Also, FWIW, I have the router set to send syslog messages to the system running the web server.

That's the networkmap hourly rescans.

OK, obviously nothing harmful.

Might not be bad to add a user-agent so the access can be identified.

david

I'd have to see if it can easily be done (that networkmap code is from Asus).

Not a huge deal if it's difficult ... the behavior has been explained, I'm OK with that.

In the meantime, if those scans themselves are a nuisance, you can disable them under Tools -> Other Settings.
