Voxel.

I upgraded to this new firmware but download speed is throttled to 10 Mbps and upload is fine. Something went wrong.

Also on first boot login was denied and managed to get in.

Now issue resolved. It was temporary

Thanks Voxel, your continued work is greatly appreciated!

I am running 109SF successfully, but this update didn't go as smoothly as usual for me. In the past I have been able to update firmware without doing anything else, but not this time.
  • I use my R7800 in router mode with a fairly simple config. Not using the Kamoj add-on.
  • Updated from 107SF to 109SF (hadn't installed 108SF).
  • After update, router was unable to connect to modem via DHCP.
  • Downgraded to 107SF. Issue remained.
  • Backed up settings then factory reset. Issue fixed, router able to connect to modem using default settings.
  • Updated back to 109SF, keeping default settings. Issue still fixed.
  • Restored settings that I had backed up after updating to 109SF. Issue returned, DHCP to modem not working.
  • Factory reset. Issue fixed again.
  • Restored settings that I had backed up a few months ago with an earlier firmware version. Issue still fixed, everything working normally.
It appears that something got goofed in the settings when updating from 107SF to 109SF. May have just been a fluke. This is not a compaint, I'm just sharing my experience for the benefit of others.

Lessons learned:
  • It's probably a good practice to backup settings before updating firmware.
  • If having issues after an update, try doing a factory reset then restore settings from the backup.
  • If that still doesn't work, then factory reset and setup manually.
