Personally, I turn off spindown in most of my external drives using the utility provided by the drive manufacturer.

The Voxel threads have always been very congenial. Let's keep it that way.
I will, but my post wasn't so hard to understand.
However, hdd spindown works again. I guess it could be related with the media server which prevented the hhd to go in standby.

Probably only time I've had an issue. My 5ghz dropped even though it was showing on. Upgraded to version 7 just in case 5 was the issue. Does anyone feel it necessary to reset to factory defaults after every upgrade?

Hi, apologies if I've missed it. When I upgraded to 76.1 I lost LPC. When I got to the parental control page instead of getting the logon page to OpenDNS I get the NetGear LPC homepage.
I upgraded to 80.5 yesterday hoping it would work again and it is still the same. Has anyone any ideas?

A second issue I have is that I am in the UK and using this along side the virgin router in modem mode. Everytime I restart my R7800 it loses internet access and I have to switch everything off, call virgin for a remote reset of the line and then turn everything back on again. Does anyone have this problem?

thank you
Paul

Yes, installed it last night. No mention of it here yet.
Up and running v1.0.2.80.7sf for 10 hours without a problem.

Thank you @Voxel for those regular and well done updates!!

Are there any details available for the .7 build? It feels uncomfortable to update without having an idea of the changes :)

I'm clearly spoiled with the continuous updates on the thread, didn't know about the changelog until now. Perfect and many tanks @Voxel !!

On Thursday I went home to get my lunch. I quickly logged on my laptop and SNBFORUMS, just to check the latest messages about our beloved R7800 :) And I saw that Mr Voxel had released a new firmware. I couldn't resist then, I started the upgrade. Went smoothly as usual. And since then, my R7800 is up and rockin', as always.
So again, Thank You Very Much Mr Voxel for your work and dedication for this great (the best!) router and this forum :) And a Big Thank You to all the posters here, making this thread really informative:)

Hi everyone. Could someone describe the difference in this three Voxel build I mean: 1.0.2.80SF vs 1.0.2.80.4SF vs 1.0.2.80.5SF. I have Netgear R7800 on stock firmware and I want to have transmission client and Kamoj Add-on to monitor my router parameters. So which of this three above build should I take? Thanks all.

Answer: 1.0.2.80.7SF :p

The difference is just minor version numbers. Always take the latest.

@Voxel did not create a new thread for each of those updates and just changed the title to mention the latest. He did not change it yet to reflect the 1.0.2.80.7SF.
