D7800 an issue with guest network

the activation and subsequent deactivation of the guest network also involves a malfunction of the main wireless network: this latter stays off and restart it is necessary to power cycle the router.

Hi...thank you for the update, will look into this today.

Can you confirm the current FW version is 1.0.0.38?

Have found the following:

If a PC is connected to the main WiFi and pinging the router IP…then guest WiFi enabled on 2.4 GHz…a couple of ping requests are dropped then all resolves…

Happens when enabling either or both radios and when adding a passphrase…

It wasn't necessary to power cycle the router.

Have tested both v1.0.0.38 and v1.0.0.40 with same results.

Can I ask to give it a try?
Reset the router and configure it normally. After that enable the Guest network only 2.4GHz and see if you resume also the main network.

Just ran through your instructions.

1. Reset D7800 to factory (with .40 FW)

2. Connect to main WiFi (without changing default SSID/passphrase)

3. Ping router IP

4. Enable 2.4 GHz Guest WiFi

Pings dropped for a few secs again, but did resolve without need to power cycle.
