Another quick question. What is the difference between the _rog and the non_rog firmware? Just visuals or also missing / added features for ROG?

Just wondering if newer firmware could work with Intel DCT or Qualcomm DBS function ? If yes , there's no reason to buy any other expensive AP .

This morning i also flashed my 2 GT-ax11000's (Aimesh Main + node) to latest alpha1_rog-g96084cefee, let's see if it is as good/stable as the 386.49599 from Asus.
A lot of devices, some with VDI and Teams, printers with fixed ip, Nas with link aggregation, IPTV, .... so will be a good test...
Everything you listed is the same in @RMerlin firmware.

Just the GUI is different. Otherwise all features and settings are the same.

@RMerlin So... perhaps I've miscounted but... if ASUS has decided they (can't or won't) upgrade any of the AC-series routers to 388,
Isn't the RT-AX86U the only eligible router remaining? Just hoping it's soon. Upgrades used to come out so rapidly.
But ever since Asus was forced to redo the source code...
The RT-AX86U seems to cross the development release finish-line last.
I know, I know, RMerlin spoiled us ;-)
Give give give, me, more more more... I'd like it all
Wonderstuff - happy days, along with Neds, Senseless Things, Mega City Four etc

Upgraded my AX58U to the latest alpha, no issues to report. Thanks again.

Hi Merlin, can i request a feature: node HDD spin down, thank you so much!
Everything related to AiMesh is closed source and outside of my control.

I figured someone "else" among us... might know that obscure song & band.
Or even just hit the PLAY Triangle on the bottom right to check it out.
Perhaps it's a personality disorder, but for some reason...
-If I can reference a song-line or two to convey my words... I'll often do so.
It typically amuses me.
It's kinda neat to establish a commonality sometimes between total strangers.
A type of ICE-Breaker...
But to be honest, I've never listened to any of the other bands you listed.
However, I do plan to check them out when I have some spare time, Thanks.

P.S. & my humble apologies to those who prefer to stay on topic

MY main 58U and 58U Nodes updated to latest Alpha working fine.

Since resetting to defaults and manually configuring, and importing a saved JFFS, I can report zero connection issues with Wireguard. AX88U.

AX88U*2 Updated - 388.1_alpha1-g96084cefee and AX56U 388.1_alpha1-gf4725b5129 are running 12H solid.

Flashed the latest Alpha working as expected AX58U.

You'll be telling us you've never seen ANYONE perform at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall next!

thanks that is great to hear!

I may have to replace my AC86u, I see they have a home router called Flint (GL-AX1800), 500Mbps with WG VPN, with policy routing in the beta that sounds perfect for me as a basic user that just wants the WG VPN speed. Looks like the Slate AX might be a tad faster in WG but I like the extra ports on the Flint, will check some reviews out, cheers again.
Excellent router. Bullet proof kill switch. Perfect for me.

Seems test-builds for AX86U and AX68U are just around the corner... :p
