Hello,

I try to put a subnet router behind the merlin driven router and give it ipv6 a subnet by prefix delegation so it can provide these to his LAN.

This is what I want to achieve:
Asus MerlinWRT Router Global ip6: 2B00::a::1 global prefix by ISP /59
Sub Router WAN to MerlinWRT Router LAN: 2B00::A::2 with Prefix /59
Sub Router LAN: 2B00::B::1 /62 or /64
Client in Subnet LAN: 2B00::B::2 /64

As far as I can read the communication with Wireshark, the subnet router is asking for IA_PD information but the Merlin router is ignoring this and just answers the requested IA non-temporary address data.

Is Asus-/MerlinWRT able to give PD to the LAN side? If yes, what is needed to do so?

THX

Is the same thing happening with the ASUS stock firmware? If so, you’ll have to wait for ASUS to address it

I don't know. I hoped I could prevent the re-installation by asking people who know. As I have some personal configs and entware installations on the merlin router this would be a lot to do.

I sense Merlin doesn’t touch the ipv6 stuff. If that’s the case, the issue exists with the stock firmware as well, and the fix would have to come from ASUS.
