So is any testing being done with the latest Merlin & Diversion... I downgraded to 384.19 & now Diversion is working with fine with Full blocklist / Minimal as alternative / W alternative lan using DNS filtering. I also have AiMesh setup with this working correctly. Every time I upgrade to 386 with the new AiMesh UI the router stops responding correctly with DHCP. Devices don't receive IP addresses, the nodes never connect. As soon as I disable Diversion & Pixelserv then things work. I don't have any of these problems on 384.19. Thing is i'd like to get the new AiMesh UI so i'm hoping this gets fixed.
This sounds very similar to the problem I've been having, although can't say for certain.

Did you ever fix this problem?

So I have not been able to get it working with the alternative blocklist enabled / meaning a second instance of pixelser (dnsmasq). If I just leave it with the standard blocklist & not try to switch it to full blocklist. With everything else default I can use dns filtering to disable the blocking for certain clients. I think an update needs to be created to fix AiMesh failing with two instances of dnsmasq. Also if we could use the Full blocklist that would be great as well.

Strange, I'm not using pixelser or a second blocking list, I'm just using the large/full blocking via 0.0.0.0 and I get the DHCP not handing out IP addresses when I change any WiFi settings that require client reconnection.

So although our problems ain't exactly the same, I'm wondering if they share the same resolution?

Yeah, so I tried that also & again it didn't work. I had to drop the blocklist down to standard.

Use this script

So I just wanted to say that doesn't work.. If I change a wifi setting I need to fully reboot the router after the change. Running the httpd reset through scmerlin makes the page appear to the login screen but then it stalls at loading the network map page.

Seems to be that the AiMesh nodes get stuck at Detecting AiMesh router... until I reboot the main router after a wifi change. I can fix this by disabling diversion.

I don't even get that far, as the router refuses to hand out any IP addresses I'm not even able to connect to WiFi to do anything until I reboot the router.

Thats what was happening to me until I disabled alternative blacklist & stayed with the standard blacklist size. Not anything larger.

Can an affected user please share their contents of the below?
Code:
cat /opt/share/diversion/.conf/alternate-bf.conf

That's kind of what I was getting at, the file wouldn't exist if you don't use the option.

OK, that rules out my theory. Are any errors printed to syslog regarding dnsmasq?
Is there anything in particular we are looking for ? I see this a lot
