I updated both amtm and diversion without an issue. After updating, if I choose to update again (not that there is any reason to update since I have the latest), I noticed an error message printed on-screen. Attached are the two screenshots.

Gonna have to pass. I’m more of a sandal guy.[emoji23]

Weird. So I tried reinstalling it, and it failed. So I figured I would uninstall Diversion (the uninstall worked) but reinstalling failed. I formatted my USB drive as ext2, reinstalled amtm and diversion, and it's working now.

Not sure why my USB drive would be in a funky state, but apparently it was. We'll see if it goes more smoothly for the next release.

That means diversion.ch was unreachable for you at the time.

The update worked just fine for you and the USB drive probably was OK too.

It was unreachable all day long, even after a router reboot. Reinstall failed (after I uninstalled). Formatted the USB drive, reinstalled diversion, everything worked fine. So something that was going on

I noticed a minor update this morning. I ran it. Worked just fine. Strange... anyway, I seem to be good now.

@thelonelycoder normally I would agree with you, that maybe the domain was unreachable, but after an uninstall, a failed reinstall, and an immediate error, nothing worked until I formatted the USB drive.

I too noticed a minor update. Trying to use diversion.ch, google, bing, my web history/notes or searching on github.com didn't show me what was actually changed?

Is this information readily available? Thanks in advance. :)

Since this update (from USA): AMTM 2.6 and Diversion 4.1.3 and 2nd minor update, some web pages are loading extremely slow.

Crucial website for ssd updates, local news channel weather radar, HomeDepot, Newegg, etc.

Other major players are OK: Amazon, Ebay, SNB Forum, etc.

Not sure why but the slow loading was right after the Updates and Reboot for updating Blocking List Standard.

Try rebooting a second time, after you have updated to the latest 'minor update' for Diversion first. :)

Also, after the reboot, wait at least 10 minutes before you start 'testing' for real. ;)

This "minor update" was the release date correction that slipped through the extensive and thorough procedure that is in place at DCB.
I changed it from RELEASED="June 13 2019" to RELEASED="July 13 2019".

DCB (Diversion Coding Bureau), a Division of TLC (thelonelycoder), a leading independent coding entity for ad-blocking and simplification software for routers..

Except for the additional domain I place in the blocking list (and this only happens after the scheduled or manual update of it), nothing has changed in that area since the release of Diversion 4.1.0 back in May.

Power cycled cable modem and router, cleared cookies, flushdns, no joy.
Reflashed 384.12, no joy.
Reloaded Diversion, no joy. Except...
DNS Filter was set to "Router" and had been working?
Changed DNS Filter to Quad9 and pages are loading fast again.

Not sure why? Not sure if I had configured things incorrectly previously but all was working well before updating Diversion.

Are you aware of the changes with the release of that firmware version? If not, head over to the change log and read carefully. You may also want to read the release thread.

If you are referring to this:
  • The router will now directly use the WAN-configured DNS for name resolution done on the router itself by default. The option is still configurable under Tools -> Other Settings for those who have a particular need that requires the former default behaviour. This matches how stock firmware works, and this change has zero impact on your LAN clients.
Wan: Use local caching DNS server as system resolver (default: No)
--->"set to NO currently"

Yes, I had read that.

This: DNSFilter is enabled - anything configured there to something other than No Filtering or Router will bypass DNS Privacy servers.

The router LAN "Enable DNS-based Filtering" was set to "Enabled" and "Global Filter Mode" was set to "Router".
This was all working well, beyond the firmware upgrade.

I'm unsure how your update would affect this?

is anyone able to get https://hothardware.com/ to load after this update?

Site is fine because it works on LTE on my cell.

Just curious before I start doing more troubleshooting.

As far as I see; skynet is blocking the IP address of this domain. Just add "151.139.128.10" to your white list.

Thank you that was quick :)

That IP has a Spam Email Dump four days ago is likely why. It is not considered malicious. Here is the Alienvault Online Threat Exchange page
https://otx.alienvault.com/indicator/ip/151.139.128.10

I highly suggest people get in the habit of checking an IP on that OTX page before blindly whitelisting a blocked IP / domain.

I will do this going forward thanks for the info.
I'll end the OT with stating that Skynet provides a link to that site when doing a search for sites that cannot be reached on outbound attempts.
Code:
/jffs/scripts/firewall stats search device 192.168.1.X 10
or 2,13,2,5,1from AMTM
Code:
Top 10 HTTP(s) Blocks (Outbound);
