Well, I tried to fiddle with the dnsmasq entry with my manual adblocking thing. Now when I tried to re-enable diversion, I am seeing this,

Post the content of dnsmasq-postconf. Use sf to show the file.Well, I tried to fiddle with the dnsmasq entry with my manual adblocking thing. Now when I tried to re-enable diversion, I am seeing this,

That only re-downloads the Diversion addon files and does not reinstall anything.Try a force reinstall by entering 12 if you can open Diversion menu.
That only re-downloads the Diversion addon files and does not reinstall anything.
Seeing the output, protic either ran update or re-install. The first re-downloads all files new, the second installs from local files.
Post the content of dnsmasq-postconf. Use sf to show the file.
While your at it, also post dnsmasq.conf content.
You commented the Diversion entry out in dnsmasq-postconf, remove the #:I can't post the content here. So rather here it is: https://pastebin.com/an2Eduke
#. /opt/share/diversion/file/post-conf.div # Added by Diversion
#!/bin/sh
. /opt/share/diversion/file/post-conf.div # Added by Diversion
You commented the Diversion entry out in dnsmasq-postconf, remove the #:
And then you should have:Code:#. /opt/share/diversion/file/post-conf.div # Added by Diversion
Turn off logging and back on and you should be good.Code:#!/bin/sh . /opt/share/diversion/file/post-conf.div # Added by Diversion
Thats htop from Entware. Install it with this, then use htop instead of top as command:That looks pretty nice, is that a custom top? (having the same issue with Diversion eating my CPU)
opkg install htop

Code:opkg install htop
fyi, i got the same code on first attempt - & network could no longer see attached usb drive thou router could still see it... eventually rebuilt router, partitioned ext4 on usb drive, tried again & got the same code... then tried a 2nd time & it worked fine...If you see all that code, then you do something wrong. Make sure you copy the whole install command line and paste it into the SSH terminal.
I can't reproduce that output, however I paste, modify or mangle the install command.fyi, i got the same code on first attempt - & network could no longer see attached usb drive thou router could still see it... eventually rebuilt router, partitioned ext4 on usb drive, tried again & got the same code... then tried a 2nd time & it worked fine...
btw, running 384.10_gnuton4 on dsl-ac68u ... thanks for your work.
A lot of these entries would be 10 to 15 a day. But you'll notice they'll only occur once a day at 5:20 in the morning.i am noticing alot of these in my logs lately Diversion: rotated dnsmasq log files, from /opt/share/diversion/file/rotate-logs.div what is this mr.coder sir?
thank you for the wonderful reply---btw i love your scripts... the only complaint is the dnsmasq is tricky and sometimes causes diversion to corrupt or fail----- I am still trying to master this aspect.A lot of these entries would be 10 to 15 a day. That's when the Dnsmasq log files are rotated and the ads counters are updated.
Enter cj into Diversion to see what cron jobs are scheduled. A short description is given for Diversion jobs.
I understand that remark as admitting that your tinkering causes such a failthe only complaint is the dnsmasq is tricky and sometimes causes diversion to corrupt or fail----- I am still trying to master this aspect
Let us in on the secret? What actions cause Diversion to stop or corrupt. I am not aware of any.not necessarily tinkering i could just change a simple setting in the gui and it causes it. is there away other than uninstalling and reinstalling to recover the settings?
