DNSMasq on ASUSWRT-Merlin

Hello everyone,

I'm new to Asus routers, and to ASUSWRT-Merlin. My current router is a Trendnet TEW-818DRU running DD-WRT. I'm looking for better coverage and more speed. One of the top-of-the-line Asus routers will likely be my choice. If I go with an ASUS, I'll probably install ASUSWRT-Merlin, as the reports of DD-WRT on these routers are less than stellar.

One of the features on which I've really come to depend with DD-WRT is DNSMasq. Does ASUSWRT-Merlin come with DNSMasq installed? If so, is it configured through the GUI, or via command line?

Yes AsusWRT does use dnsmasq. Some functionality is configurable through the GUI (like DHCP reservations) but if you want really low level stuff you will have you use a custom configuration file.
