Hi All.

I have an ASUS RT-AC3200. This router currently has limited support from Merlin, though I've used Merlin on it in the past. I'm currently running ASUS firmware, and am a little behind. I'm trying to decide whether to continue with the ASUS version, or to switch to Merlin again.
Can anyone tell me what of the latest ASUS Firmware, 3.0.0.4.382.52651, is included in the current Merlin release, RT-AC3200_384.13_10 ?

Stock Asus firmware file has a date Mar 2022. The last Asuswrt-Merlin is from Jun 2020.

The RT-AC3200 is end of life :

End-of-life product list

Time to replace it with something that will get firmware updates.

Which begs the question , how can Tomato devs keep the firmware updated if you can't obtain any code from ASUS for this model?

Tomato isn't based off Asuswrt, they don't need closed source updates to httpd/rc/shared components from Asus.

Thanks all. The router works fine and is sufficient for my needs, so I'd as soon not replace it. Perhaps I'll give tomato a try.

from version 2022.6 (NOV 2022) few routers where added Asus: RT-AC3100, RT-AC5300 and RT-AC88U (only 4LAN, 1 WAN)

for a lot of users AC ARM routers are still OK, 9 years after they were released - I am using few AC56U, AC68U etc and do not plan to upgrade it. Your router in same parts of world can be sold for 100USD as it is one of the best ever made.

Most cool FT features are incompatible with NAT acceleration and good for ISP lines up to about 200Mbps. Otherwise - excellent!
