on dsl log page (first picture of first posting) and 3rd pic firmware upgrade page do you see a DSL driver and firmware versions installed?

If yes than you're back to live!

Install previous firmware, make factory reset again and start from the beginning like you first time got the modem-router.

I am trying now to restore firmware pic 2, hope that works, already tried to install firmware version i had on my pc and did the setup like when i got it New, my country was shown and isp provider, but still no luck, so i hope this does.

My solution, steps:
1) Install the firmware fix DSL-AC68U_9.0.0.4_384_21126-fix01_DSL_1.0.4.6.trx.zip (DSL-AC68U_9.0.0.4_384_21126-fix01_DSL_1.0.4.6.trx) in rescue mode and / or from http://192.168.1.1
2) Factory reset
3) DSL (Internet does not connect) then the DSL LED does not turn on
4) Install the firmware FW_DSL_AC68U_300438250302.zip (DSL-AC68U_3.0.0.4_382_50302-g1568898_DSL_1.0.4.3.trx) from http://192.168.1.1
5) Factory reset
6) Turn on the DSL led and connect quickly to the internet
7) Restore the last backup of the configuration that worked well with the firmware DSL-AC68U_3.0.0.4_382_50302-g1568898_DSL_1.0.4.3.trx
8) Everything as before using 100%

Still not online, have this "your isp dcph is not working properly" no matter how i restore, install firmware, no matter what i do

I had that before I entered my adsl username and password. Are you sure that you entered it correctly?

Yes i called my isp and he gave me my info, when i bought the router and set it up there was no user/pass required only plug and play, select country, and proviter and next

The fix just does not work for me. I have flashed the 21128 version probably 15 times already but it still shows me that the network cable is unplugged.

I have tried to flash the firmware via the recovery utility/CFE web interface, but none of my PCs recognized the router in recovery mode, so I only could flash via the normal UI. I don't know what to do at this point, can anyone help?

did you use the special recovery-firmware or normal one?
Did you install recovery tool from Asus and done with that on your PC or use the cfe miniweb?
Set IP-addr. on PC LAN port to 192.168.1.10?

Tried with both the Asus recovery firmware, which doesnt find a wireless router in recovery mode, and the cfe web interface, which I cannot get into. I have set a static IP, nothing works. The power LED is flashing though, so it means it's in recovery mode, right?

I left the router turned off overnight and now it connects again, but the next time the electricity goes out in my flat (old fuses), I will have the problem again, and I just can't afford to have the router turned off for hours just to get it to work again.

the tool is working but little tricky, installed as admin, running as admin too?
first power off router, set IP on PC, disconnect everything from router, only power plug, start program (admin), search this unzipped trx file, press WPS while power on and start search for router in program:
All you need is in post #48 and #51 (some need it 3 times !!!): http://whatsyourrouter.com/mybb/showthread.php?tid=268&page=5

And turn OFF Wifi on PC/laptop as very first step, eventually try other PC!
You have to do exactly this and not something similar.

Has anyone got a copy of DSL-AC68U_9.0.0.4_384_21126-fix01_DSL_1.0.4.6.trx.zip (DSL-AC68U_9.0.0.4_384_21126-fix01_DSL_1.0.4.6.trx, It is no longer on the Asus site. I have tried the lastest firmware from the Asus site but it has not fixed the DSL problem for me.

what I can remember there has been no (known) difference in 21126fix and 21128.

did you use 21128 standard or the one for recovery purposes?
this one: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/wireless/DSL-AC68U/Rescue_DSL_AC68U_300438421128.zip
apply it twice or 3 times in recovery mode miniweb or asus restauration tool!

I tried Version 3.0.0.4.384_21128 (the latest version) using both recovery tool and via the Web interface several times without success (maybe 20 to 30 times over the last few days) I must admit I used the standard version of firmware for the restoration tool method so I might give that another go later and report back. Thanks for your help.

I have tried everything again over several hours today. Still no luck. This is what I did:-

1/ Reset the router to default settings by powering up holding the WPS button (until the power light blinks fast), then power down.
2/ Get into recovery mode (power up holding reset until the power LED is blinking slowly)
3/ Connect PC (set to 192.168.1.2) over Ethernet cable and upload 21128 recovery version (Rescue_DSL_AC68U_300438421128.zip) using the Asus recovery tool.
4/ Wait for firmware upload then wait for router to fully reboot (until both wireless leds on).
5/ Repeat step 2 to 4 two more times i.e. load the rescue firmware 3 times in total using the recovery tool.
6/ Once rebooted log into the router then manually load the standard 21128 firmware,
7/ Reboot and repeat step 6 two more times i.e. update the firmware manually using the router web interface 3 times.

So I have have loaded the firmware 3 times using the Asus recovery method as well is using the Web interface.
After all that still no DSL light. Router reports DSL cable disconnected.

I am really beginning to lose faith with ASUS now.

If I'm doing something wrong or if you have any other suggestions please let me know.

try again twice with this one and do not reset factory or anything else!
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/wireless/DSL-AC68U/FW_DSL_AC68U_300438421128.zip

Note:
If you upgraded to v3.0.0.4.384_21126(already removed from support site) earlier and experienced DSL failed to work/internet connection could not be established issue,
please upgrade with v3.0.0.4.384_21128 twice.
Do not reset firmware to factory default or make any changes in firmware settings between the two update attempts.

no DSL 3.jpg
Yes I followed those instructions with that firmware in every combination several days ago, Twice using Asus restoration tool, twice using the Asus router web interface and today I tried the recovery mode miniweb method you mentioned earlier.

Still no joy and no DSL light. I'm running a old BT Huawei modem into the Lan Port 1 of the Router to get the internet as a stop gap but would really like to get the DSL part of the router running again.

I know other users have had trouble reverting this but I think I've tried everything I can do now. This is why I was looking for the old fix firmware since this is the only thing I haven't loaded yet
