Good Morning All,

We recently switched the BT Home Hub in our office over to an RT-AC86U running Merlin 384.4. This has given us a list of benefits over the old router.

However, we previously had an Cisco (EE) Signal Booster (Femtocell) attached to give EE signal in the blackspot our company is located. Since switching the router, we can no longer get this device to connect. EE confirm they can see the device switching on and off their end, but can't explain why it won't work.

Apparently there is no requirement for port forwarding.

I know there is a lot of settings in the Merlin firmware - is there anything I should be looking at enabling/disabling to hopefully get this to work?

PS. I've already tried putting the box in the DMZ - no luck.

I have the same femtocell and it uses UPNP and an IPSEC tunnel (UDP ports 500 and 4500). Check settings around those as there are a few!
Under WAN-Nat Passthrough there is an IPSEC option, switch it to whatever it isn’t would be my first suggestion.

The EE cell I have is behind a TP link router at my in-laws so can’t suggest what ASUS specific settings to use I’m afraid.

Thank you so much! Enabling IP-Sec Passthrough did the trick :)
