Firmware Restoration not detecting Rescue Mode AX88U

I’m trying to use the Firmware Restoration tool however it says my AX88U is not in Rescue Mode when it is. I’ve factory reset (WPS + power button), then put it into Rescue Mode (reset + power button). I have the Power light slowly flashing which means it’s in Rescue Mode, however the Firmware Restoration tool says the router isn’t in Rescue Mode.

Router is connected to PC via ethernet and I’ve changed the IPv4 settings. Have also tried with WAN disconnected.

Any ideas?

can you acccess the mini cfe recovery window at the routers ip address?

btw, its not reset+power button, its reset+plug in the power.

Why you have other connections to a router in Rescue Mode?

The only connection has to be your computer running Firmware Restoration tool, connected to LAN port.
