And: Grouchy Wife = Garage Life?
Garage Life? Too many cool things in there to play with, wife nonplussed.

According to her the bathtub is a suitable punishment. Cold, cramped and the faucet leaks...waitaminute...she has been describing me all these years!

The firmware for the special editions is exactly the same as the corresponding normal edition firmware. There's no difference, they're the same files (they've just put the wrong date on the website for two of the EVA firmwares).

All the firmware does is check the model number and if it's a ZAKU or EVA it uses a different skin in the GUI.

Do you know if you can get the gaming skins (specifically the GT-AX6000 EVA skin) with Merlin?

Try the following. The eva.css file and associated images are missing from my RT-AX86U's firmware but you might have more luck with your particular router. If you have an GT-AX6000 EVA then I'd expect the "rog version" of Merlin's firmware to show it by default.

Code:
nvram set CoBrand=3
nvram commit
