updated my n66u to 23E1. No problems found so far. Thanks John!

I'm trying to find the command that will list the CPU AND Ram frequencies on my AC68U running John's fork. I did it once where it appeared as 800,666 in the results but for the life of me I can't remember the command. I know cat /proc/cpuinfo will give me detailed info on the processor but I just want a simple display of MHZ of the CPU and Ram. Thanks for your help.

Wrong thread, this firmware only works on older models. Your router is not compatible.

From OP:

"The following routers were released after the base code used for this fork was available, and are NOT supported.
  • AC66U-B1 (ARM based), AC68U Rev C1, AC1900, AC1900P, AC87U, AC3100, AC3200, AC88U, AC5300 (and the retail R versions)"

Still running the 23 beta. It has been up for 15+ days with well over 300GB on the QoS pie charts. I have been throwing everything at it, periodically checking specifically the QoS and it has been completely rock stable. At this point I'm going to see how long it can go. I've never had this router up this long with no weirdness or oddities, everything is running like it just booted.

I upgraded to the latest version 23e1 on my AC68U(USB hard drive removed) and everything seemed to have gone well except at the end the router just seemed to hang with the WAN light flashing quickly but no response from the web interface and no internet access. I waited about 5 minutes and no response so I did a hard power off. It booted up fine this time but the 5ghz signal and guest 2.4ghz signals were not broadcasting despite the fact that it was on in the web interface. I disabled the 5ghz radio first waited 1 minute and then disabled the 2.4ghz radio next. Waited another additional 2-3 minutes and then renabled the radios in reverse order using the same wait periods as above. At that point everyhting came up again and was broadcasting correctly. Rebooted the router just to be sure and no issues now...just an fyi if others run into the same issue. Thanks John for your great firmware.

I'm running the latest John fork v23E1 with OpenVPN using username/password authentication. Everything works well except I noticed something has changed from a visual status perspective. When connected the VPN Status tab shows the user connected and all the corresponding information for that connection. However when clicking on the VPN Server tab the same user shows as disconnected. OpenVPN is working correctly so the issue is just an incorrect visual on the VPN Server Tab. Thanks

upgraded to 23E1 and al is fine(came from 23B8 which is the same beta i think)
anybody knows how to block specific ports?

under firewall/network services filter you can put in some rules but they seem to be LAN-WAN (only outgoing)

under WAN/virtual port forwarding there is also room for some rules but these seem to be WAN-LAN

is there a way to block ports to and from a certain local ip address?

I have a question regarding AES-128-GCM vs using AES-128-CBC strictly in our OpenVPN Client?
Should we use one or the other and or is one more secure than the other, does one allow faster encrypt / decrypt performance. I have googled but found very little on this new cipher and a good explanation.

Hi @john9527!

Running 23E1 for a couple days now, everything was going fine until I tried to go to the "Tools" section (Tools_Sysinfo.asp) and the http daemon crashed. It even happened after a factory reset.

Using Chrome 56.0.2924.87 with no extensions

Anyone else facing this issue?

No, sorry....just tried FF and Chrome over both http and https......no trouble with accessing Tools and no problems afterwards.

Ok! I'll just go and reset everything, reflash, clear browser cache (that first!). Thanks for the quick reply

NVRAM reset and issue gone

Here is an odd one. I just updated to 23E1 (dirty flashed) on two AC68U's. One serves as the main router and the other as an access point. Every thing is working but my network map only shows the other AC68U on both units. The wireless log shows all of my clients connected but the network map shows 0 clients on both units.
