I tried both gnuton and asus dsl ax82u firmware
same message

my router current firmware is 3.0.0.4.386_43578
Sometime I brick the router and I use TFTP which has always worked great for me.
Set your machine to 192.168.1.10 or something between 2-253
then run tftp as follow. do not forget mode binary, otherwise it will fail.

When put is complete wait for some mins.

# tftp
tftp > connect 192.168.1.1
tftp > mode binary
tftp > put my_file.w

If this doesn't work you are doing something wrong.
There are still other ways to flash the firmware but they are more "dangerous".

i tried tftp with the following settings.
still stuck with optus firmware.
cannot figure out what went wrong

Hello,
Version : 386.04_0-gnuton2
Thank you for your firmware always very effective. This is purely a cosmetic note.
On the following screenshots there is a difference between the settings in "Administration" and "System Log - DSL Log"

Merci

DSL-AX82U right?
You are right it's supported. is this fine on the stock firmware?

AFAIR Annex B was not in the support page:
G.993.2 (VDSL2),Annex A, B,supporting up to 35b [350Mbps/65Mbps];

Hello,

Since I know your firmware I only install those.
However, what I haven't tried is doing a hard reset.

Thanks

@GNUton I've flashed the beta release for my RT-AX82u and it has been working great! The overall system appears far more stable then stock, I rarely have to reset my router. It just works! Thanks for all your hard work and dedication.

Hi, I just flash new firmware to the optus router (DSL-AX5400) successfully. It took me two days to find a way. Neither tftp or Asus restoration tool is woking.

You can follow this :

1. Enable SSH . https://github.com/gnuton/asuswrt-merlin.ng/issues/168
2. Transfer the firmware.w file to router via WinSCP
3. Login to router via Putty
4. Use command: hnd-write firmware.w
5. Reboot
