Looks like Asus released the GPL yesterday for Rt-N66U.

Version 3.0.0.4.374.979

Description
GPL of ASUS RT-N66U for firmware 3.0.0.4.374.979

File Size
426,17 MBytes update

This GPL is way over sized as usual.

In what way? Can you point at anything that shouldn't be in it that makes it grow too large?

Last time I downloaded the source code they included a bunch of object files that can be compiled by the source code. And comparing to the GPL of netgear, these GPL are much bigger as well(and messier).

Asuswrt not only contains code to support a lot more devices (they share the same common code), but there is also a lot of legacy Tomato code still left in there.

In any case, I don't why this is a problem in itself.
