GT-AX11000 ... The wifi interface has reached its maximum.

Bumping an old thread but I ran into this recently too. Was / is it because one router is on AsusWRT 5 (firmware 3.0.0.6) and one is on the older 3.0.0.4?

Looking at the latest firmwares for both, the AX11000 doesn't support 3.0.0.6 (only the pro).

Assuming what you mean by "it", yes.

Good point, edited my post, by it meaning the warning message "The wifi interface has reached its maximum"

Cheers

AiMesh = root node + node(s)

Pro = fw 3.0.0.6.102.* or later

A non-Pro root node will only sync 2.4/5.0 Guest1 WLANs to nodes, like always. A Pro root node can only do same/similar to non-Pro nodes. I would not waste any time splitting hairs over the meaning of 'warning messages'. ASUSWRT 5.0 has never left Beta, imo, while ASUS re-engineers the so-called Self-Defined Networks component of ASUSWRT.

Let's wish them luck so they finish something usable before our Pro models go EOL.

makes sense to me

I am also having the problem on Asus Stock firmware:
"The WIFI interface has reached the maximum" but only on my two RT-AX86U, the RT-AX86U PRO is ok as you can see attached file.
how can i solve the problem ?

based on my understanding, it's b/c the primary `RT-BE86U` is running:
ASUS RT-BE86U Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_37812

The RT-AX86U is:
ASUS RT-AX86 Series(RT-AX86U/RT-AX86S) Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_24323

And the (working) RT-AX86U Pro is:
ASUS RT-AX86U Pro Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_34336

TLDR: THe RT-AX86U isn't on the 3.0.0.6 firmware set so it's not going to broadcast other SSIDs.

Not an expert just based on my experience. I upgraded my node RT-AX88U for the same reason to an GT-AX6000 and now I can broadcast other SSIDs without seeing this warning message.

You can't... your hardware has limitations as discussed above.
