Interested to see how the vlan's are working so quite tempted to go with this beta.

Any issues with AiMesh, on this beta ? I'm not reading complains so assuming it's working ...

The beta is the only firmware that works fine for me, I tried the latest stock and merlin firmware and I get this message.

Your ISP's DHCP does not function correctly

Update: The message is appearing on the beta now so it must be an ISP issue.

my only complaint is AXE16000 does not enable UNII-4 channels on 5G-2 while the sale feature clearly states 3 160Mhz channel in 5G. my wireless AIMesh with 5G-2 channel at 160Mhz is not stable at all. Just hope the next firmware would have a significant update. ( my AX11000Pro and XT8s get more firmware update than my AXE16000). Both of my AXE16000 and AX11000Pro are on Beta, and I may flash it back to regular one later this week.

I don't think that graphic is correct for the U-NII-3 (ch149-165) and U-NII-4 (ch169-177) bands(?)

its my understanding that 1st 160Mhz channel matches UNII-1 and UNII-2, the 2nd 160Mhz Channel matches UNII-3, then 3rd 160Mzh channel matches UNII-4. the top screenshot is from AXE16000 Asus website directly. Similar photos for AX11000Pro and GT6. see my screenshot below

You don't need UNII-4 to offer 3 160 MHz channels.

Their marketing claim is correct - they do allow three 160 MHz channels, provided your region supports it.

Retroactively adding new frequencies isn't always possible. It requires re-certifing the device with the FCC for the new frequencies if these wreen't already validated.

thanks for the clarification. I thought the 3 extra channels were 167.173 and 177. I was just suprised that XT8 could get recertified while AXE16000 a premium line didn't get it.

Odd indeed. Maybe it was already certified up to that higher frequency, or they could request a status change that didn't require an expensive recertification. I don't know.

Very few client devices will support UNII-4, so using that band might not be very reliable I suspect, even if the router did support it.

To me, its the 5G-2 wireless backhaul at 160Mhz, UNII-4 provide Non DFS channels, so channel won't get disconnected so often. with 160Mhz and nonDFS channels, I could get stable 1700-2000Mbps PHY rate without disconnection. Otherwise, I really don't care about UNII-4 bands

GT-AXE16000 I hope Asus doesn't forget. Couldn't someone ask them about this?

We want definitive 3006 and Merlin support.

I live in Hungary, I wrote to asus support. They didn't understand what I wanted. Would someone else write? When is the final release of 3006 expected? Thanks

You're asking for too many unrelated persons/entities to have this come together as you wish. No wonder they didn't understand what you want.

See the stickies of what 'before you post...' to see what your wish entails from RMerlin's end.

From the link above:
Just to reiterate: don't ask for any ETA on availability, or for support for other models. 3006.102.1 will only support these three models, and we will re-evaluate things after that realease is finalized on any other potential device to support. These must be picked in collaboration with Asus as GPL code and device samples (in the case of new devices) are necessary for each individual model.

The beta formware used to be on ASUS download section, but it seems they removed the bitton to sow other firmwares than the most recent stable?

Has the x.0.0.6 branch been abandoned for this router? I would be stuck with the old beta for vlan support....

Anyone have the direct download link for this one?

Wow you are correct, they only offer the latest version of the firmware for the AXE-16000.

Thankfully I have it downloaded on my computer.

Whats crazy is the AXE-11000 still shows you can download previous versions. Did they do this to just the AXE-16000?

Zenwifi Et12 they are gone as well looking for the download links, I did download them but I’m afraid I deleted them at a cleanup….

For other routers the 3.0.0.6 has been released as stable (Zenwifi XT12 for example). But these 2 unfortunaltly not yet.

You can still download the beta firmware through the web gui manually by checking check for beta.
