I’ve owned the BE98 Pro for about a week now (latest stock Asus fw) and it’s the best router I’ve ever had. I haven’t experienced any of the reported issues and all of my devices (mostly Apple/iOS) are working flawlessly. I expect this router to kick more butt once the firmware matures in the next few months but so far, so good.

Currently on sale for 615€ in Europe:

I would go for the non-pro version. It seems the more PRO users have problems than non pro users.
Most country does not allow the pro version.

"yup i'm using the BE98 25000 which came bundled when i signed up with my ISP on 10gbps gamers plan and it's super stable n super strong wifi connection it's a beast. I think the issue with the BE98 pro 30000 is the two 6ghz connection which messed up the wifi connection. Here in my country the govt doesn't allow the pro version (two 6ghz) as it's unstable. Take note my country (Singapore) has one of the best wifi connection even on the streets u can connect to free wifi easily and the signal is strong.. Btw i think the two 6ghz is the cause, just my thoughts."

Well I've been up on this router for just over two hours now after a massive struggle to get the GUI to respond. It was so bad after I reset it like 8 times that I almost boxed it up and took it back until I tried Firefox and it worked. I've still got to spend more time adjusting the antennas and I hope that Asus continues to improve the firmware.

FYI the dual wan is broke AF and after a reboot it stuck on the secondary wan which I did not catch until I was running a speedtest and saw ATT as the provider. I had to unplug the cable and force it back on the primary just like I had to do with the BE92U. The old ax88u works right each and every time. Now I have to see how it behaves with my Roborock Qrevo Curv while it cleans the house.

I've been using Drones this season.
I wanted to get the 98Pro, but that msrp/selling price is not justifiable for Casa Griswald. I am watching for the next gen wifi 7 routers from Asus and the enhancements RMerlin can accomplish.

I am seriously contemplating upgrading from my Asus GT-AXE11000 to the GT-BE98 Pro. I already have a few Wifi 7 clients so I would benefit from it from that perspective.

The ONLY thing holding me back is wondering if Asus will release a new flagship Wifi 7 router later this year?

Thoughts?
I got it today. It's a marvel of engineering. The router itself is massive. I set it up and it has worked flawlessly so far. I even, wire backhaul meshed it with my good 'ole RT-AX86U and things are working pretty smooth so far. The only draw back is those two pesky 6G channels. They have no range and according to Dong Ngo, I did not activate MLO. We have iPhone 16 Pro Maxes in the house, which are both WiFi 7 and MLO capable, but the 6G signal is veeeerrrrry weak. It's great when you are in range of the router, but if you go further away, it's intermittent at best. Having said that, I have a 1G cable internet coming into the house and both 5Ghz and 6Ghz WiFi bands are clocking close to 1G download speeds. I had the GT-AX6000 as a main router in my mesh setup, but it got bricked after the latest firmware upgrade, couldn't get it up and running properly, despite of several resets and WPS resets. The damn thing is done and it's sadly out of warranty....wouldn't you know it???? So, fast forward, I decided to "Future Proof" my Network and that's why I went with this beast of a router. Hope this helps. :)
