I am having a problem with viewing my RT-AC56 GUI. The problem began when I updated from internet Explorer 10 to Internet Explorer 11; as the problem does not exist when I access the GUI in Firefox. I was using firmware 374.41 but updated to 374.42 with no cure to my problem The problem is that after I access the router GUI the menu items on the left of the GUI have disappeared and I am unable to access any of the menu items regarding the LAN components. The Operation Mode of wireless router, firmware and ssid for the the 5ghz and 2.4 ghz are displayed but there is no network map. I get the following regarding the network status:

Internet status: Detect connection again...
Wan Ip:
DDNS: Wait a while for verifying...

The network appears to be running fine with all devices operating and communicating properly. Anyone with any ideas as to what to do to restore the GUI functionality with Internet Explorer 11.

Quite frankly, IE11 is a mess. There's never any end to the issues that arise when using it. It's impossible to predict its behaviour because it seems some people have it set to emulate IE7, others have it emulating IE9, others havei t in native IE11...

You can either change its compatibility mode by changing which browser version it emulates, or use something that actually works properly without requiring voodoo magic, like Firefox or Chrome.

Merlin,

Thanks for your thoughts. In their infinite wisdom Microsoft eliminated the emulation mode button. You can still access it via the tools menu. It did not help in my situation. But you are right, I will just use the Firefox browser.
