Hi guys .. So I just did my first firmware upgrade for my recently purchased RT-N66U. I'm currently on the Merlin 374.41 firmware ..

I have an OpenVPN Server to which I'd like to connect the router to. I have the .ovpn file, and in the OpenVPN Client tab, I'm uploading this .ovpn file, and then I toggle the 'Service State' switch to try and start the VPN connect, but it doesn't start. I looked in the log section and I see this:

Apr 26 00:38:40 rc_service: httpd 353:notify_rc start_vpnclient1
Apr 26 00:38:41 openvpn[549]: OpenVPN 2.3.2 mipsel-unknown-linux-gnu [SSL (OpenSSL)] [LZO] [EPOLL] [eurephia] [MH] [IPv6] built on Apr 18 2014
Apr 26 00:38:41 openvpn[549]: ERROR: username from Auth authfile 'up' is empty
Apr 26 00:38:41 openvpn[549]: Exiting due to fatal error

Anyone know what I need to do to get this working ?

Note that in the VPN Client tab on the router's console, I ONLY specified the .ovpn file. I didn't set any other settings there. They are all at their defaults.

Nevermind, I just had to explicitly type in my openvpn server username/password in the settings .. :p

Seems that you connect to vpn-provider that need username and password.
That seems empty in your .ovpn file.
Code:
ERROR: username from Auth authfile 'up' is empty
manually edit or put that in GUI "Username/Password Authentication"
