You might try forcing it off manually and see if it sticks....enter the following commands via telnet
Code:nvram set wps_enable=0 nvram set wps_restart=0 nvram set wl0_wps_mode=disabled nvram set wl1_wps_mode=disabled nvram commit && reboot
nvram set wl0.1_wps_mode=disabled
nvram set wl0.2_wps_mode=disabled
nvram set wl0.3_wps_mode=disabled
nvram set wl1.1_wps_mode=disabled
nvram set wl1.2_wps_mode=disabled
nvram set wl1.3_wps_mode=disabled
Quick update.
I liked this router so much(rtac87) that i bought one for myself. Aside from minor bugs i love it.
My third ac87 has the wps problem also. Im going to post it in the bugs thread. Hopefully it gets resolved in upcoming updates or as i hear, merlins neat modded firmware.
the wrt1900ac feels like a toy softwarewise, but its easy enoughfor my oldskool dad to tweak common settings.
Thanks Again!
Settings have been updated. Web page will now refresh.
Changes have been made to the IP address or port number. You will now be disconnected from RT-AC87R.
To access the settings of RT-AC87R, reconnect to the wireless network and use the updated IP address and port number.
