I need a not too expensive 2.4 gHz outdoors omni antenna for my boat - is the Poynting Puck 12 good?

Actually that's my spare I tested with. The one I have in the boat has the USB card inside a waterproof box, and the exposed parts of the antenna outside the box are covered with shrink tube. So that is not a problem. But still I would think that the puck would give a better result than around one dB more than the smal antenna, I guess I may be limited by the power in the RTL card. Here in Norway we use glass wool instead of sheet rock btw. 😁

Went cod fishing in the Trondheim Fjord many years ago. The professor insisted that we wait until he had the water boiling before we could cast a line. Less than a minute from catch to in the boiling water. The taste was remarkably sweet. Unlike what we get in the States.

Yeah, there were good times for cod fishing a few decades ago. Now it's not as good. Too much fishing and a warmer sea has made the catch much rarer. Btw you studied at NTH, then?

Father did consulting work with a professor there for the Norwegian government's development of the oil extraction and processing. Air pollution modeling, i think, as he had a large wind tunnel for scaled modeling back in the late 1960s - 70s
