In Asuswrt, how to display the log timestamp with nano seconds?

Seems the following command does not work in my Asus router. Does anybody know how to display the timestamp in nano seconds?

I believe the router has this capability as I saw Ookla speedtest-cli error log in this format on this router:

Display time (using +FMT), or set time

    [-s,--set] TIME    Set time to TIME
    -u,--utc    Work in UTC (don't convert to local time)
    -R,--rfc-2822    Output RFC-2822 compliant date string
    -I[SPEC]    Output ISO-8601 compliant date string
            SPEC='date' (default) for date only,
            'hours', 'minutes', or 'seconds' for date and
            time to the indicated precision
    -r,--reference FILE    Display last modification time of FILE
    -d,--date TIME    Display TIME, not 'now'
    -D FMT        Use FMT for -d TIME conversion

Recognized TIME formats:
    hh:mm[:ss]
    [YYYY.]MM.DD-hh:mm[:ss]
    YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm[:ss]
    [[[[[YY]YY]MM]DD]hh]mm[.ss]
    'date TIME' form accepts MMDDhhmm[[YY]YY][.ss] instead

doesn't support the %N switch.

What you see in the log are milliseconds, not nanoseconds. Nanoseconds are the range of Gigahertz clocked processors.

The timestamp in the router's syslog (if that's what you mean by "log timestamp") is hard-coded and cannot be changed.

Install Entware from amtm (You will need a USB flash drive attached to the router)

amtm

then install the Entware date utility

opkg install coreutils-date
