Can I doing it from script? I try to write script on jffs partition but seem like it not auto-run on start. Is it possible to do it?

Thanks

You need a custom firmware for custom scripts to work.

You could go the simple route and just use a light timer and set the times you want the router to shut down and turn back on. Simple quick and gets the job done.

Do you mean physical timer? That's the good choice but is it any chance to break router in the long run if we shutdown this way?

Doubt it no different then pulling the plug or turning it on and off by the switch. Besides there have been many others that have implemented this very thing for rebooting there routers.

Main risk would be only if you kept a USB disk plugged to that router. And since it's highly unlikely to be having any writing activity in the middle of the night, even that should be fairly safe.

If you have command line access maybe a cron job could do this with a script.

There's no way to automatically re-create the cron job after a reboot.

I have a similar problem. I have two routers with Merlin fw (RT-AC68U - 378.52_2 (NOT the latest) and RT-AC87U - 378.56_2 (latest)). 87 has an option in the admin area to schedule a daily reboot, while 68U hasn't at the moment. Is there any chance that if I upgrade the 68U fw, than I'm going to have a daily schedule reboot option?

I hope, this is better than to open a new topic for my - op related - question.

Yes if you upgrade your 68U to the latest Merlin build.
