can i go back to 382 from a 384 FW ?I don't have any additional info beside that it will bring security fixes. I suspect it will still be from the 382 branch.

i'm running 384.6 on y 3200's so here is at least 1 384 foe 3200Depends on the router model and the exact versions. There's been no 384 firmware for the RT-AC3200 however.

Hmm ........... and there's Asus support telling some owners that the AC3200 is definitely going to get AiMesh.
So many different stories from them : it is EOL/not EOL / no more firmware/will get new firmware/ will and won't get AiMesh.
Not a good way to treat customers really.
We are running out of Q4.I received the following message from Asus support:
"Yes, the AiMesh support is on the road map for the model RT-AC3200. ETA or estimated time of arrival is quarter 4 of this year."
Really hope that the new firmware which is due to come (as RMerlin confirmed) supports AiMesh. We are running out of Q4.
I believe RMerlin when he said "Frontline tech support don't always have the latest up-to-date information." We can still hope RT-AC3200 gets AiMesh.Today I got an Email form ASUS Customer Service (Germany)
They wrote in regards to AC-3200….
Router without AiMesh Support until now will stay also in the future without AiMesh support.

I keep hoping I will win the lottery ..............

This is just one of the big online retailers with the same message.
My nephew runs a business providing systems for small business/home offices , they supply a lot of Asus routers and have been told directly that these models are EOL.
The news Merlin got was a "security release" was coming, nothing more.
Why would Asus be telling retailers these models are finished ? Would they want to turn away customers?
Is it possible to flash the cfe and the image from a ASUS RT-AC1900? Hardware specs looks almost the same, beside the missing second 5GHZ chip. Has somebody tried that already?

Maybe something else compatible? Even if 3rd radio is disabled after a modification?Don't. Hardware is very different, you will kill your router. The radio chip for instance is completely different...

I really hope there will be an AiMesh Update for AC-3200, but I have some doubts about.
I wrote yesterday again to ASUS Customer Service, and tell them that I’m very disappointed about. They answered. He understood my concerns, but from a technical point of view, AiMesh is not possible on the AC-3200…….
Ithink you're right they are dropping support for a great router , don't know why afte they gt it running so wll
