Hi,

I'm not 100% sure if this is related to router configuration itself or if it's something else.

My issue is that when I bind clients to use a specific VPN Client (i'm using Exclusive DNS and VPN Director for Policy Rules) the device will start use the VPN tunnel and it's external IP but for some reason it still says that i'm located in my home country even though it shows me i'm using the public external IP from the VPN's country location.

Same thing on my phone as on my pc. When I connect directly to this VPN's using an app on my device it works flawlessly.

Any thoughts of what the issue might be?

I also want to mention that I haven't tried this on any earlier release of Asuswrt-Merlin so this might not be related to the version that is being in use.

Regards

Hi,

I found the solution in my case.

The problem was that I had IPv6 enabled on my router and it exposed IPv6 from my country and IPv4 from my VPN country.

I just disabled IPv6 and then it started to work fine for me.

Hi! I will have to check that! Thanks. I had to flash down from .3 to.2 again because my VPN ratted me out.
