Personally I don't use it but if dropping it is beneficial for the firmware's overall health/build, so be it.Considering AiCloud's history, I am wondering if getting rid of it might not be a good idea. There are a now far better alternatives to achieve similar results (free/inexpensive cloud services, Plex, Jellyfin, a VPN, etc...)
Anyone for whom losing AiCloud in Asuswrt-Merlin would be a deal breaker for using the firmware?
(I know people who don't use it will say "just drop it", but I am more concerned in people who actually DO use it).
So lets hear from those who actually use it, eh? Come on, you're out there somewhere!Anyone for whom losing AiCloud in Asuswrt-Merlin would be a deal breaker for using the firmware?
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for losing it. But look at the context of the question - I don't think an open vote was requested.

Never used it or have any plans to do so in the future. Other more secure options are available so drop it. Anyone that needs this functionality can stay on the stock firmware.Considering AiCloud's history, I am wondering if getting rid of it might not be a good idea. They are fixing the routers now, unable to reply.
How is using AIcloud on stock FW any better ? It is a problem , there are better options I guess I never liked any"cloud" I have had access to all my files from anywhere in the world for over 20 years with no problems .Don't have to worry about the 'cloud" going bye bye or my files beingI tried few of the functions years ago (when I wasn’t behind CGNAT) and wasn’t impressed.
With Asuswrt-Merlin and Entware you can accomplish the same thing - with much more control and choice.
If someone wants AiCloud - they should be using the stock firmware.
I would eliminate it from Asuswrt-Merlin.
