Maximum active connections

New Around Here
Hi everyone,

Router is an Asus RT N66U, with Merlin's latest 380.68 build.

Its running consistently fine with this:
Under Tools - Sysinfo - Connections:
1219 / 300000 - 185 active

But when the active connections are hitting over 200, it looks like the router is blocking. I get all kinds of lovely application log messages about blocked TCP connections.

I hope someone can provide some details on this router's maximum specified active connections, and if there's any way to increase it safely.

Maybe under Tools - Other Settings - TCP/IP settings, there's some settings I can safely reduce the timing on to allow connections to fall off faster?

The original SMB review managed over 34,000 simultaneous connections and that was limited by the test not the router. So I think your problem lies elsewhere. The application error messages should give you an indication what to look for.
